Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Bobby won three individual state championships in Cross Country and was runner-up in the fourth (1999-2002). He was a member of two state championship teams in Cross Country (1999 and 2001). In Track & Field, he won eleven individual state titles (800 meter run - 2002 and 2003; 1600 meter run - 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003; 3200 meter run - 2000, 2001, and 2003; and 4x800 meter relay - 2002 and 2003) and was a member of three state championship teams (2001, 2002, and 2003). Bobby set state records in the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run. After his freshman year, he was undefeated by competitors from Kentucky. Bobby was a three-time qualifier for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship and finished third his senior year. In Track & Field, he was a three-time champion of the Bowerman Mile at the Nike Indoor Championships. Bobby attended Villanova University on a Cross Country/Track & Field scholarship. While there, he was a two-time individual winner of the Big East Cross Country Championship. He won multiple individual championships in Big East Track & Field, finished 15th in the NCAA Cross Country Championships his sophomore and 4th his senior year. As a senior, Bobby won the NCAA Track & Field outdoor 5,000 meter title. In 2008, he finished 6th at the Olympic Trials 5,000 meter competition. In the 2009 World Cross Country Championships, he finished 37th and in 2010 he finished 48th in the same competition. Bobby competed as a professional runner from 2008 - 2017 and holds personal-best times of 3m 57s for One-mile, 13m 18s for 5,000 meters, 27m 24s for 10,000 meters, and 2h 11m for the Marathon.
