Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
As a senior at West Jessamine HS, Arin Gilliland was named 1st Team All-State, Kentucky Miss Soccer, NSCAA All-America, ESPN Rise All-America, KHSCA 2010 Outstanding Senior and Parade All-America. She went on to start as a freshman at the University of Kentucky, where over the course of her career (2011-14) she would be named to First Team All-America, an ESPNW Female Athlete of the Year Finalist, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-SEC. She was drafted by FC Kansas City of the NWSL in 2015 and is now playing for the Chicago Red Stars. In 2016 she was called up to join the United States Women’s National Team for Pre World Cup Matches.
